“Local experiences to discover hidden sides of Taormina”
During the conference, the accompanying persons will have the possibility to spend a half day in beautiful Taormina, town centre, one of Italy’s, Europe’s and the world’s prime tourist destination, a place blessed with sunshine, the imposing Mount Etna vulcano (the largest active vulcano in Europe), pristine beaches, a rich history and plenty of shopping and restaurant options.
On October 17th, while the first day of the convention is going on, the partners will have the opportunity to spend a day full of fun and interesting activities in gorgeous Taormina. Following a sumptuous breakfast in true Sicilian style, we will meet at 09:00 in the hotel lobby where we will be picked up and head up the winding hills towards Taormina town centre. A dedicated, English speaking guide will meet us there and take us through the wonders of the historical centre. We will enjoy a thorough tour of Sicily’s gem, the Ancient Theatre, dating back to the third century BC, after which we will stroll around the main pedestrian and shopping street, Corso Umberto I, and adjacent alleys full of hidden gems, finally reaching the location of our Pizza Making Cooking Class. Here we will learn the secrets of the best pizzaiolos and have the opportunity to be hands on, each making our own, personal pizza. The cooking class is followed by lunch, a selection of Sicilian traditional starters and of course our very own pizzas! Wine and soft drinks are also available. The day will end around 15:00, just in time to head back to the hotel, refresh and perhaps rest a little before heading to the Gala Dinner. Get ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, history and, last but not least, great Sicilian food and wine.
